The Sailor Hocoro Fude pen (body+nib in one box) came with an ink reservoir, which makes a significant difference when writing. I wrote out all of the tests on the note sheet with a single dip and still had a lot to clean out. It wrote smoothly at any angle and even in reverse. Its lines don't have the nice crisp edges of the stub, though.

Also showed another fun aspect of Tono & Lims Regulus -- The thicker the ink goes down, the more green it glows.

Photo of three dip pens on a table. From left to right they are: - Gray body, green 1.0 stub nib labeled "1.0". - Clear body, light blue Fine nib labeled "F". - White body, yellow Fude nib labeled "F".
Close-up side view of the Fude nib with its upward bet tip nib. Under the nib is a dark gray plastic ink reservoir.
Photo of a writing sample on paper written with the Fude nib in various heights. It starts with "Tono &" written at max width, "Lims" written at minimum width, and "Regulus" written with the nib reversed (upside-down). Followed by three "X" written in each of those widths. Then three curlicues at max width. Under that is "Jackdaws love my big sphinx of quartz" written with some line variation.
Same writing sample as before but under UV light since this ink is fluorescent. The thicker lines and areas are glowing greenish, the others are glowing blue.
