Messing around with stamps to make ink swatch "cards" of sorts out of some Midori paper. The black outline part is great with Versafine ink. Dries fast and doesn't budge.

I wanted to try some ink-resistant marks and they came out OK, too, but only with a VersaMark watermark ink pad. I tried Ranger "Perfect Medium" it did so poorly I didn't even photograph it.

VersaMark worked really well with swabs, but not as well with glass dip pens.

Photo of four stamped ghosts on a piece of paper. Top row is labeled "Stubs". Top left has a black ghost outline, filled in with scribbles of dark blue ink. Top right has an ink-resistant ghost outline and is scribbled over with blue ink. Bottom row is labeled "Swabs". Bottom left has a black ghost outline with swabbed lines of blue ink crossing it. Bottom right has an ink-resistant ghost outline with swabbed lines of blue ink crossing it, which makes the ghost outline appear as lighter blue inside the swabbed area.
Photo of two stamped ink bottles on a piece of paper. Both are stamped in black ink. Inside both is an ink-resistant stamped spider. The left bottle is labeled "Swab". It has swabbed lines of blue ink with some red tint crossing it. There is a spider clearly visible inside the bottle where less ink was deposited. The right bottle is labeled "Glass Dip". It has scribbled lines of blue ink with more red tint crossing it. There is a somewhat spider-shaped blob visible inside the bottle where less ink was deposited, but it lacks detail.

I have more (and better) stamps coming, just taking their time to get here. I didn't know photopolymer stamps were a thing, and having them be clear makes them much easier to align and use. Hardest part is finding ones I like that aren't too twee/complex/weird.
