Cleaned a few stubborn pens out today. Seemed like no amount of soaking and flushing would get them to run clear. Parker Vector, Kaigelu 316A, and Jinhao 80. These will probably be left un-inked and get stored for now. They are OK, but not ones I use frequently.

I really like the italic calligraphy nib in the Parker, it just doesn't seal all that well.

Photo of several items laying on a paper towel: - A disassembled clear bulb syringe - A glass ramekin with a folded paper towel inside. inside three folds are three nibs and converters. - The body and cap of a blue Parker Vector fountain pen - The body, section, and cap of a green marble Kaigelu 316A with gold trim - The body and cap of a brown Jinhao 80

I also made an attempt to clean the cap on my Jinhao 9019. It seals great and I like using it, but at some point I had left it nib down and some ink leaked into the space between the inner and outer cap.

Problem is that to remove the inner cap you have to remove this screw that holds the inner cap and clip in place. I have deep well sockets that should fit, but they're too thick to reach that far into the cap. I may have to get creative.

Photo of a Jinhao 9019 fountain pen with the cap on. The cap is transparent plastic and has a gold clip. There is red ink squished between the inner and outer caps.
Photo taken from the inside of the Jinhao 9019 cap showing a hexagonal head on a screw. There is very little space between the edges of that screw head and the cap itself. Red ink is visible around the edges.
