The new shiver of Sharks I ordered back in February arrived yesterday.

All new colors except black (which is one I had to trash, so that's good for me), half are semi-transparent/translucent, a couple more are slightly translucent.

The nibs are not hooded on these, and the sections are completely round. Both seem like downgrades to me. I liked the hooded nibs.

I'll clean at least one and test it when spoons replenish.

Photo of a case containing 12 Jinhao Shark fountain pens. They have a cap made to look like the front half of a shark (complete with a fin roll stop, gills, eyes, and a mouth). They have long tapered bodies. Each has a tinted but transparent section in the middle, giving a good view of the feed and tip of the converter. From left to right the colors are: tan, black, maroon, mint green, pink, pale yellow, light blue, medium blue, lavender, dark blue, green, and gray.
Photo of a translucent plastic fountain pen body and transparent section, both tinted blue. The converter is easily visible through both the section and the body.
close-up photo of a fountain pen nib and the nose of its shark cap next to it. The nib is labeled "EF" with the Jinhao logo above the letters. It is an exposed nib and comes to a sharp point.
Photo of two Jinhao Shark fountain pens on a desk. The top pen is an older model, opaque red, and has a hooded nib and indents on the section where fingers rest when gripping. The bottom pen is new, transparent blue, and has an exposed nib and smooth, rounded section.
