"Who wore it better" Falcon Edition

I wanted a Pilot Custom Heritage 912 Falcon (FA) nib but the price is $$$$. I went the less expensive but riskier gray market route, buying from a well-respected eBay seller from Japan. The pen look isn't my favorite but the nib is darn near perfect. It writes every bit as well as predicted. Better, even, as I haven't had flow issues so far with Kon-peki. I bought a third party ebonite feed in case I need it later for special inks.

A pilot Custom Heritage 912 fountain pen sitting on top of a Lego model. The pen is black with a gold nib plated in Rhodium so it appears silver. On the nib is the text "Pilot / 14K-585 / 10 / fA" The Lego set it is sitting on is 7965 Millennium Falcon, from Star Wars. The pen is laying across the top of the cockpit, which is the only part of the model visible. The visible portions of the model are all various shades of gray. The cockpit itself is clear with gray lines delineating segments of the cockpit. Inside to cockpit, a computer display brick and a lever are visible.

On the nib is the text "Pilot / 14K-585 / 10 / FA" The pen cap is next to the pen on the model, but is resting on the table surface with only one part of the cap on the model. There is a silver band around the bottom of the cap. The Lego set it is sitting on is a small version of the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars. It is composed of very colorful pieces built around a primarily white base. There are light blue, yellow, purple, pink, red, and turquoise pieces visible. Near the rear where there would normally be engine exhaust circles are eyes. At the front of the mandibles are unicorn horns. This set is built from Lego set 31140 "Magical Unicorn".
Photo of writing sample on paper. It is in dark blue ink with some color variation shading where more or less ink settled in the lettering. There is some width variation in the letters as it was written with a flexible nib. The text reads "A ghostly falcon buzzed, skimming the waxy java parquet". The writing is followed by "XXX" and three curlicues of varying line widths.

I do believe this may be the bottom of the rabbit hole for me for quite some time. I now have a wide variety of makes, models, nibs, and materials. More than enough to do pretty much anything I'd want. Enough to keep me writing for several years no matter what might happen.

There are a couple other things here and there that haven't arrived (or released) yet but none very significant in comparison.
