Moving on to more practical prints. I've printed this flexi octopus before but now I used the "negative volume" option in PrusaSlicer to make a 16mm hole through it and turned it into a sample vial holder and it's quite stable!

I also printed a small pen tray, which I cut shorter in the slicer, to hold a few pens waiting to be cleaned. Holes could be a little larger, maybe a flat top would be better for where it is going. I'll make my own soon.

Photo of a 3D printed octopus with articulating arms, printed in black plastic with some sparkle to it. Standing straight up from a hole in the center is an ink sample vial.
Photo of a 3D printed stackable pen tray in two parts (base + one layer) printed in black filament with a little sparkle to it. There are four slots per layer, and each contains a pen. One pen is so large its clip won't fit in the hole.
Close-up Photo of a 3D printed stackable pen tray printed in black filament with a little sparkle to it. Only part of the top layer is visible showing two pens and an empty slot in the tray. The finish inside the tray is shiny with only very tiny layer lines visible.

Posted the remix of the octopus sample vial holder if anyone else wants it:
