Taccia Murasaki is a purple ink with a little shading and a smidge of green sheen.

Scans

There is only a little shading on Iroful and MD, and it doesn’t have a lot of contrast, but it is there.

The sheen is noticeable in the large swatches, it’s most prominent on MD.

There is a little hint of the sheen in some edges of letters, but it’s not consistent or thick.

Microscope

Still just a tiny bit of the sheen on the letters.

Chromatography

It starts with a dark cyan line, then gray, then magenta, then purple, then light cyan. It doesn’t spread very far, suggesting it may have at least some water resistance.

There is only a thin blue line past the leading edge, and no effect on the swatches.

Verdict

I like the color, and the fact that the sheen barely shows helps it out since I’m still not a fan of this type of green sheen. I used it in a pen briefly, but not heavily, so I don’t have a lot of experience with it yet. It’s been good so far, though.
