Finally found a multi-level pen tray type thing to tidy up the ridiculous number of fountain pens I've been cycling through. It's been tricky to find something the right dimensions for the space. It was made for markers but pens work, too. Even a huge Jinhao 9019 fits on the lower level with the clip positioned just right. Not fancy looking but doesn't need to be for me.

It's modular and came with 12 layers so I could add more rows if I feel the need.

Photo of a two-level pen tray on a desk. The tray is approximately 12"/30cm wide. Each level has space for 15 pens. Every spot in the tray is full, with varying types of pens in different makes, models, and colors. Behind the tray is a desk organizer shaped like a green dumpster. It containing sticky notes on ones side, and on the other side are two flame-shaped stacks of note paper. One smaller stack of orange flames in front, one larger stack of yellow flames behind. Next to the organizer is a page-a-day "daily pun" calendar. Today's page has an image of a sailboat with a little smiling face on the side of its hull. Under the boat is a caption "Feeling Nauti". Under that is today's date "Firday September 20 2024". Next to that is a bottle of fountain pen ink. The bottle is shaped like a flash with a golden lid that looks like a stopper. The ink inside appears blue. The bottle is tilted to one side and is sitting on a round cork pad. Behind everything else are some wires running behind the desk.
