Finished cleaning the M1 and M2, soaking did the trick.
Had to disassemble one of the converters because it somehow got water behind the plunger. Reapplied silicone grease on it after cleaning to hopefully stop that from happening again.
Swapped the O-rings between the section and body for slightly thicker ones which may even further improve the sealing, but time will tell.
