If you want to capture things like chameleon shimmer in a photo/video, try putting your phone or camera on a tripod or other stand and use a flashlight or other light source to find the right light angle to show the different colors.
That is much easier than holding the sample and camera/phone at odd angles trying to find just the right spot!
