Picked these up this week, along with a couple other things (no pens, shocker!). I'd been eyeing these for a long time but curiosity finally got the better of me.

They are all blank and glue-bound so sheets can be torn out individually, and each came with a two-sided guide sheet (lined and grid).

More of them have no (or very little) UV reaction than I expected. All of volume 1 is great, and so are #3 and #4 in volume 2. 7/10 is a lot better than I expected.

The left pad has a light marble-like finish and has the following text: Premium Paper, Find your pen friendly paper, Yamamoto Paper. Fountain Pen Friendly Paper Collection A5 Volume 1. No 1. Thin Paper by Kokuyo, 52.0 gsm. No 2. Sanzen Tomoe River S 52.0gsm. No 3. Champion Copy 35.0gsm. No. 4 Typewriter Paper 27.9gsm. No. 5 Smooth Onion Skin supports Alcohol Inks 40.0gsm The right pad has an ivory-colored marble-like finish and has the following text: Premium Paper, Find your pen friendly paper, Yamamoto Paper. Fountain Pen Friendly Paper Collection A5 Volume 2. No 1. Light Force 68.0gsm. No. 2 Sleight White 81.4gsm. No 3. Soliste 65.0gsm. No. 4 Sheep Clouds Bond 70.0gsm. No. 5 Smooth Art Paper 104.7gsm.

The whole reason I put in an order, though, is an A5 Sunny Log Note Journal. I'd actually been using a little A7 notebook, but it's too small. I looked through a lot of options aimed more at logging and this seemed like a decent one to try. Plenty of room to note things, index and review pages, and a completely separate undated calendar style log book. We'll see if I can keep it going.

It fits in my Galen Leather folio I've wanted to use more, which helps.

Photo of an open leather folio. It is dark blue and has a zipper closure. On the right side is a light brown hardcover notebook. A small bookmark ribbon is poking out of the bottom

Oh, and an A6 Takeo Dressco Onion Skin Notebook since it seemed interesting and I didn't have any other onion skin paper (not counting the other new sheets in the sampler).
