Received my “backup” Hongdian M2 that I bought just in case the rumors are true that Hongdian went out of business.

[Note: Rumors were not true ]

Nib seems to be the same “soft” EF that’s on my current M2, but wasn’t labeled as such in the listing. Finial still has the cats, but the brass makes it look a little more like orange and black kitties. I’ll ink this one up just a little to test it and then clean it and store it in case the M2 I carry with me breaks.

Photo of a brass fountain pen on a dark blue leather surface. It's shorter than a typical pen and its cap covers a large portion of its length. Laser etched on the side is some text reading "Hongdian M2"

Photo of a brass fountain pen finial. It contains a design with a dark and a light cat curled together in a vaguely yin-yang style pattern. The brass gives the cats a bit of a yellow cast. The finial design is covered in a clear glossy dome.
