Diamine Writer’s Blood was created via collaboration between Diamine and the members of r/fountainpens on Reddit in 2020.
It’s a very deep, dark magenta with dark green sheen. There may be a tiny bit of shading under the right conditions.
Scans
It is very dark, though the scans may be a little darker than it looks.
Photos
The sheen is quite reflective. It can show a little in the writing as well. On col-o-ring between the wide coverage of the sheen and the texture of the paper, it does look a little more “scabby” there. Stick to smoother textured paper unless that’s what you’re going for.
Microscope
The sheen is all over the edges of the writing and occasionally over sections of the lines. Also note how Iroful looks a bit different as well, a bit more purple to it there.
Chromatography

The chromatography starts with a dark gray line and fades out to an empty area, and then a fades into a bright red band.

There is a blue glow past the leading edge a bit, but nothing noticeable in the swatches.
Verdict
This is a fantastic color. It has quite a gothic vibe to it, but almost “scabby” depending on how the sheen presents. This is another ink that I use frequently, usually during fall or winter.
