Colorverse Colorvent 2024 Day 17 is "NGC 2264", a medium forest green with some shading and no sheen.

This is a really good shade of green and seems to be well-behaved. Nothing extra happening beyond shading but that's good enough. I still prefer Apple Glory, but I'd use NGC 2264 more than Mystic Forest since that is a bit too dark for my typical uses.

Pen is a Jinhao Shark (Green with transparent green section) EF nib.

Photo of a "Colorverse Colorspace Size C" swatch card, type 1 which is based on the James Webb space telescope. The ink on the card is medium forest green with some shading. Upper left is text reading "#17 NGC 2264" written in an EF nib and then a stub nib. Below the text are multiple stars and a galaxy outlined in ink. Upper right is a large illustration of the James Webb telescope in negative space among swabbed ink. In the lower left is a small illustration of the Hubble space telescope in scribbled ink. In the middle lower left is a blob of ink with some visible areas where it dried darker and has reddish sheen. There are lines of darker ink in the center. In the middle right is a blob of scribbled ink drawn by a glass dip pen. Lower right is text "Colorvent 2024". Laying across the card is a green Jinhao Shark fountain pen with a transparent green section. The cap of the pen is shaped like the front of a shark, with a mouth, eyes, and a fin.
Collage of six photos of text on paper. Each photo consists of: - "NGC 2264" written with an EF nib - "NGC 2264" written with a stub nib - A swirl of ink made with a glass dip pen The ink color is the same for all, medium forest green with some shading. From the top left, the papers are: - Maruman Mnemosyne - Clairefontaine Triomphe - Paperage Notebook - Iroful Notebook - Midori MD Notebook - Tomoe River S Kanso
Photo of ink writing under magnification. Paper fibers are visible. Ink is a medium forest green with some shading near the end of one of the lines visible in the image.
Photo of several inks on paper, the name of the ink is written followed by a little scribble of ink: - Aquarius Whispers - light-ish blue green - Aurora Borealis - dark-ish blue-green - Mystic Forest - a very dark green - NGC 2264 - a medium forest green - Apple Glory, a bright green

Video of this one drying isn't terribly exciting but it's still neat to see.
