Colorverse Colorvent 2024 Day 23 is "Dante's Cosmology", a dusty midnight blue with lots of shading and a smidge of coppery sheen.

I really like the color even if there isn't a lot going on with this one overall. Good shading with the right paper, a touch of sheen, but mostly a nice soft dark blue but not so dark it's hard to tell apart from black.

Pen is a WingSung 699 (Blue) EF

Photo of a "Colorverse Colorspace Size C" swatch card, type 1 which is based on the James Webb space telescope. The ink on the card is a dusty midnight blue with lots of shading and a smidge of coppery sheen. Upper left is text reading "#23 Dante's Cosmology" written in an EF nib and then a stub nib. Below the text are multiple stars and a galaxy outlined in ink. Upper right is a large illustration of the James Webb telescope in negative space among swabbed ink. In the lower left is a small illustration of the Hubble space telescope in scribbled ink. In the middle lower left is a blob of ink with some visible areas where it dried darker. There are lines of darker ink in the center. In the middle right is a blob of scribbled ink drawn by a glass dip pen. Lower right is text "Colorvent 2024". Laying across the card is a WingSung 699 fountain pen which is blue with gold accents.
Collage of six photos of text on paper. Each photo consists of: - "Dante's Cosmology" written with an EF nib - "Dante's Cosmology" written with a stub nib - A swirl of ink made with a glass dip pen The ink color is the same for all, a dusty midnight blue with lots of shading and a smidge of coppery sheen. From the top left, the papers are: - Maruman Mnemosyne - Clairefontaine Triomphe - Paperage Notebook - Iroful Notebook - Midori MD Notebook - Tomoe River S Kanso
Photo of ink writing under magnification. Paper fibers are visible. The ink is a dark blue hue but also somewhat pale in the center but darker and more concentrated around the edges.
Photo of ink blob under magnification. Paper fibers are visible. Toward the top of the image the ink is a dark blue hue but also somewhat pale. On the lower half it is darker and more concentrated. At the edge of the dark portion is an area that also has coppery sheen.

Kinda neat to see just how much this one lightens in the middle as it dries and the center trends more toward blue-gray.
