The Asvine C2000 finally arrived and it's a beaut! I ordered the "Red" variety but as shown it's more heavy toward blue on the mix which is even better for me.

The 1.1 stub writes well, puts down a nice line with good variation as expected. Nice flow, no problem keeping up with a heavy sheening ink. I inked it with Endless Alchemy Candy Sea, to fit the blue+red color combination and because I didn't have it in any other pens currently.

Photo of a pen cap and writing sample. The writing sample is in dark blue ink with heavy reflective red sheen. It reads "Asvine C2000 1.1 Stub", "Sphinx of black quartz, judge my vow!" Below the writing sample is a pen cap, a mix of blue and red swirls with darker and lighter areas. There is a gold clip which has a band around the cap.
Photo of a fountain pen nib. it is gold in color. It has "1.1" and "Asvinve" stamped on it. It has some engraved lines around the edges connecting to one line that sweeps from one upper edge on the "shoulder" of the nib, around the "1.1" and then back to the opposite shoulder.
Photo of a fountain pen on a table. It has a mix of blue and red, mostly blue, swirls and patterns that resemble wood grain. It has a gold clip. The cap has "Asvine" written in gold around the bottom. The finial on the pen cap is flat, while the other end is rounded.

This pen is l-o-n-g! It's longer than a Jinhao Shark, even. Though the Jinhao 9019 and Vazir Meteor Shower still edge it out in diameter, and the Vazir is ever so slightly longer (By 0.1mm).

The finish is matte. It's not slippery but very smooth. I didn't have any issue with writing grip, but it might need some care when carrying it around.

- Hongdian N11, silver with gold trim, slightly shorter and narrower than the C2000 - Asvine P36, clear with silver trim, a little longer than the N11 but still slightly shorter and narrower than the C2000 - TWSBI Diamond 580 ALR, dark blue with silver trim, the shortest and narrowest of pens in the photo. - Jinhao 9019, clear with gold trim, similar length to the Asvine P36 but slightly wider than the C2000. - Asvine C2000, with a swirl of blue and red, mostly blue, with lighter and darker areas. It has gold trim and "C2000" is visible on the cap. - Vazir Meteor Shower, stacked celluloid in blue, yellow, and red at various angles. It is ever so slightly longer than the C2000 but a little wider.

Update 2025-01-16: Went to use the C2000 this morning and it wouldn't write, I had to get the nib wet a bit to get it moving again. Converter was still completely full. Seems like maybe it's not sealing well. I saw at least one other person saying similar things.

I put an o-ring at the base of the cap threads on the section, hopefully that helps. Can barely see that it's there and it already feels like the cap is a bit more snug. 🤞
