These showed up early. They are the other two things that mysteriously found their way into my cart. The TWSBI Diamond 580ALR (Nickel, Stub) is what I was after originally but was out of stock. The VP (Gun Metal Matte Black, EF) is an upgrade from a Majohn A2 I keep near me and use regularly.

The matte finish on the clip/tip is nice, as is the black-tinted nib.

Being neutral colors I also feel less compelled to be matchy-matchy with ink.

Photo of a fountain pen and writing sample. The fountain pen is a TWSBI Diamond 580ALR in Nickel, with silver trim. The finial, bottom rim of the cap, and section are all gray. The cap and body of the pen are clear. Red ink is visible inside. The writing sample is in dark red ink and reads "TWSBI Diamond 580ALR Nickel 1.1 Stub" and "Diamine Red Dragon"
