Started to clean out a few pens today, all three had some ink that dried out (after several months, nothing concerning), though I had used most of the ink so it's not too surprising.

The Hongdian M2 and M1 I have the nibs soaking because there is some stubborn ink that just doesn't want to come out even after using a little soapy water. Might need to get out the ultrasonic cleaner if the soak alone doesn't do it.

Then I need to decide what to refill them with.

Photo of three disassembled fountain pens on a paper towel. A Pilot Kakuno with a CON-70 conveter, a blue Hongdian M2, and a silver Hongdian M1.

I also ordered a some larger O-rings that should help the M1 and M2 seal even better. They do a decent job as-is, but always room for improvement there. Those should be here tomorrow, I hope.
