Ink Swatch - Diamine - Forever - Skyline

This is my last ink in the Diamine “Forever” series of water-resistant pigment inks: Skyline

It’s a light blue with (surprise, surprise) red sheen.

The Diamine Forever line of inks are water-resistant pigment inks. Take care when using pigment inks! Use a pen that seals very well or write the pen empty in a short amount of time and clean the pen out promptly, otherwise the pigment particles may cause a clog.

Scans

The scans lack the sheen, as usual, but they make it easier to see shading in some of the lettering and the large swatches.

Photos

These photos show off its sheen. There is quite a bit of red in there, but it doesn’t drown out the blue.

Microscope

Chromatography

The chromatography is pretty much all blue and light blue and mostly near the start.

Nothing too noteworthy under UV light, but there is a slight blue halo past the leading edge.

Verdict

I need to use it more, but it shares a lot of qualities with other blue inks I enjoy, plus it’s water-resistant. That can limit the pens I use it with, but it is occasionally a requirement.
