Ink Swatch - Parker Quink - Pink

This is Parker Quink Pink, the first of a few Parker Quink mini cartridges I swatched, which was tricky.

The ink is exceptionally bright and is fluorescent as well. It has a little shading and a little sheen, but not much of either.

While it is pink in some of the lighter shading areas, overall it is more of a bright magenta across all the paper types I tried.

Scans

The scans are accurate, it’s really that bright!

There isn’t much sheen, but there is a tiny bit of greenish-gold sheen in places.

Microscope

Not much surprising under magnification, though it is easier to see the shading and sheen.

Chromatography

The chromatography mostly shows magenta and only near the end.

Under UV the chromatography glows bright orange! There is also a small blue halo past the leading edge.

UV Check

On Col-o-ring the text glows blue while the swatch is closer to purple. On Iroful it glows pink, but the text isn’t as bright. On MD paper the ink glows bright red, with a couple spots of bright orange. It looks neat, but it’s not very readable.

Verdict

It’s not a color I prefer, but it’s not bad. It’s well-behaved and dark enough to be legible in natural light, not too light or pastel.
