Parker Quink Red is the third of a few Parker Quink mini cartridges I swatched, which was tricky.
This is a very bright red with a smidge of shading and gold sheen.
Scans
The scans are accurate, and it is quite bright, though it is a slightly lighter tint on Iroful.
Photos
There is only a tiny bit of sheen around a few small areas with heavy ink.
Microscope
The gold sheen is easier to see in the microscope photos, but it’s only on areas with lots of ink, and even then mostly around the edges.
The shading is easier to see here, there are some fairly abrupt transitions between lighter and darker areas.
Chromatography

The chromatography is all magenta with red near the end.

Under UV, the magenta area is glowing orange, and there is a blue halo past the leading edge.
UV Check
Like the other Parker inks it’s all over the place under UV.
On col-o-ring it’s glowing blue. On Iroful the lighter areas of the swatch are glowing pink. On MD the swatch and the text glows pink.
Verdict
It’s a decent red, nothing really bad about it, but I don’t see it myself choosing it over more interesting options like Pilot Iroshizuku Momiji or Diamine Wild Strawberry.
