Colorverse Colorvent 2024 Day 13 is "Neptune Occultation", which has a lot going on, all good. Blurple doesn't do it justice. It starts purple, dries blue w/purple shading & coppery sheen.

It looks different depending on how paper shows shading/sheen. The good thing is that I like all of the results. More than makes up for yesterday's dud.

Pen is a Pilot Vanishing Point (Blue Carbonesque) with a 1.1 stub nib

Photo of a "Colorverse Colorspace Size C" swatch card, type 1 which is based on the James Webb space telescope. The ink on the card is dark blue with some shading areas dark purple and some areas with coppery sheen. Upper left is text reading "#13 Neptune Occultation" written in an EF nib and then a stub nib. Below the text are multiple stars and a galaxy outlined in ink. Upper right is a large illustration of the James Webb telescope in negative space among swabbed ink. In the lower left is a small illustration of the Hubble space telescope in scribbled ink. In the middle lower left is a blob of ink with some visible areas where it dried darker and has coppery sheen. There are lines of dark purple in the center. In the middle right is a blob of scribbled ink drawn by a glass dip pen. Lower right is text "Colorvent 2024". Laying across the card is a fountain pen, a Pilot Vanishing Point (Blue Carbonesque) with a 1.1 stub nib.
Collage of six photos of text on paper. Each photo consists of: - "Neptune Occultation" written with an EF nib - "Neptune Occultation" written with a stub nib - A swirl of ink made with a glass dip pen Each paper has a slightly different appearance for the ink. On some it is dark blue-purple. On some it's a dark blue with purple shading, and some coppery sheen shows through on the darker areas in some places. From the top left, the papers are: - Maruman Mnemosyne - Clairefontaine Triomphe - Paperage Notebook - Iroful Notebook - Midori MD Notebook - Tomoe River S Kanso
Photo of ink writing under magnification. Paper fibers are visible. The ink is dark purple in the center and reflective around the edges, with the reflected highlights appearing to have a copper-ish tone. Some areas between paper fibers are blue, some paper fibers are darker purple.

Here are a few gifs of this one drying so you can see how it changes colors. It's really neat.

Also after cleaning up with a wet paper towel you can see it separated out into several different pleasant base colors.

In some ways it's similar to day 6 (Kilonova) but the color of the ink and the sheen are both different, with Kilonova being more even blurple and this is a dark blue base overall.
