I try to tell myself “Write in it anyway”

… and sometimes that works

February 28, 2026

I try to tell myself "Write in it anyway", and sometimes that works, yet I have a few on my shelf sitting there not doing much more than looking nice.

I'd never toss them away, though!

Comic by Poorly Drawn Lines with 7 panels: Panel 1: Bear is holding a notebook and saying "This notebook is too nice to write in." Panel 2: Close-up of the notebook in Bear's hand showing it has a ribbon bookmark and ivory paper, a speech bubble says "I'm sorry" Panel 3: Same as panel 2 with the speech bubble saying "My thoughts aren't important enough for you" Panel 4: Bear is tossing the notebook off a cliff Panel 5: Bird catches the notebook mid-air and says "Free shit!" Panel 6: "But Later..." Panel 7: Bird is stressed with a bead of sweat on their forehead, holding the notebook in one hand and a pen in the other, saying "Damn, this is kind of a nice notebook"
